Here are a few more Windows V-Box examples ,,, maybe by looking at these a pattern will show up

Workunit 1369779 I had one of the three Completed, validation inconclusive's WU also had two Validate Errors

Workunit 1389401 I had one of the five Validate error's WU also had a Completed, validation inconclusive

Workunit 1355671 I am currently running this one so far there has been four b]Completed, validation inconclusive's[/b] and one Validate Errors

I have 38 validation inconclusive tasks on my Windows 10 PC using VirtualBox. Most of the wingmen are Linux hosts running only a few seconds.I am an old Linux user and am running Linux tasks on a laptop with an AMD E-450 = CPU. They take long time but do not fail. I am also running a Linux Virtual Machine on a Windows 10 host with 24 GB RAM, 8 of them assigned to the Virtual machine. No failure so far.It is enlisted in Science United, so I do not get its credits.

The Invalid rate on this project really sucks IMO.

Tullio, That might be me if they're from the last 2 days. I have a 44t computer dying, probably the motherboard. I saw it was throwing off 100% Computation Errors within seconds. It's offline now.

it is chemistry unstability. It is the purprose of the project at the moment : explore chemical space stability and produce AI to solve this issue. So, failures help Science ;)

This host should be banned:
https://quchempedia.univ-angers.fr/athome/show_host_detail.php?hostid=3685
Has over 24000 WUs with some second runtime and all invalid.

Done! Thank you for reporting. It helps a lot, since I'm alone.

That's all fine and dandy and I'm glad the failures help the science, but if the task finishes completely and uses a substantial amount of processing time by us then we should be compensated for it.

If a failed/invalid result is helpful and is serving a purpose too this project then find a way to reward that task if it runs it's course.

Honestly, Most of my 49 Validation inconclusive tasks are due to the second PC not having virtualbox installed and the job fails within a few seconds of CPU time.

Ofcouse I only know this because my first 100+ jobs failed as well until I reinstalled Boinc w/virtualbox and enabled VMX in bios. *facepalm*

On a Linux Virtual Machine running SuSE Tumbleweed enlisted in Science United during a kernel upgrade virtualization was not enabled and all tasks failed. A following kernel update reenabled virtualization. My kernel today is 5.8.10-1.
