This project doesn't require linux or a vm linux. It is possible to run it with only Windows and VirtualBox. You just have to enable virtualization in your bios and disable hyperV. Sometimes , the virtualbox version , has to be modified , to run properly on the host ( 5.2.X. seems to be better than 6.0.X.).It depends on your host. All the apps possible are listed here. You just have to know that with windows the wus are less stable than with linux.You have to handle them carefully at the beginning and at the ending of your computer , to avoid the misfortune...
