Wrong. The only conclusion is 50% of the project are down or use Let's encrypt certificates. The role of the certificate is that the Boinc client can verify that the server is the real one and not an impostor or a hacker. So a third actor is needed: a certification authority (CA). The Let's encrypt CA certificate has been revoked. So only projects that depend on Let's encrypt are impacted. This is the case of the QuChemPedia server. At the time the certificate was revoked, my server renewed the certificate with the new Let's encrypt certificate. Except that for the Boinc client to be aware of this, the new CA certificate must be added in the BOINC client's list of trusted CAs. Technically advanced problem... 3 different actors are involved in HTTPS |

As suggested by Dave Anderson I have downloaded the ca-bundle certificate. It says that is is valid until 28 January 2028. I am currently running WorldCommunityGrid, Einstein@home, Rosetta@home and LHC@home on my Wimdows hosts with Window 10 and they run well. Tullio |

You need to use the latest version of the certificate, as Dave Anderson provided. https://boinc.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=14422&postid=105657#105657 It works for me in Win10. I can now attach to QuChemPedIA and download again. |

I had 12 Windows tasks waiting to upload on September 30. None has survived this lockout. Now I am running Linux tasks on an old laptop but 4 out of 5 are in inconclusive validation, not invalid. Tulllio |
