When looking at the logs (stderr) of this valid task packet, I was wondering why there is such a vast difference in the content of these logs? The first one is even truncated!

vs.

Moreover, this massivley more powerful desktop Linux machine took significantly longer than my Windows laptop to complete the task. Why is this?

I think the web interface truncates logs that are too long. the difference in computing time may be due to occupancy and hyper-threading. calculations are memory intensive and you need to be able to correctly feed a 32 threads monster.

My core question was why are the logs so far from being virtually identical given that these machines processed the same task?

Due to the vbox_wrapper, the real log cannot be written at the right place and the wrapper write his own log.
