Hi
I have virtualization enabled and Hyper-V disabled.
Still all workunits create errors after 7 seconds.

Please advise

Merci d'avance

Hi , Merowig ,

For all volunteers , having troubles , take the habit to
either unhide your computers
or give the identifier number of your computer.

It is easier for a forum reader to think over the problem encountered.

In your case , i guess your identifying number computer is 2027 because of the running time of the work units inside it.

If you look at the stderr file , you can see these sentences :

2020-04-18 13:23:31 (5080): Hardware acceleration CPU extensions not detected. Disabling VirtualBox hardware acceleration support.
2020-04-18 13:23:31 (5080): Hardware acceleration failed with previous execution. Disabling VirtualBox hardware acceleration support.
2020-04-18 13:23:31 (5080): ERROR: Invalid configuration. VM type requires acceleration but the current configuration cannot support it.
2020-04-18 13:23:31 (5080): Could not create VM
2020-04-18 13:23:31 (5080):
NOTE: VirtualBox has reported an improperly configured virtual machine. It was configured to require hardware acceleration for virtual machines, but your processor does not support the required feature.
Please report this issue to the project so that it can be addresssed.
Error Code: ERR_CPU_VM_EXTENSIONS_DISABLED

In your computer form appears :

Virtualisation Virtualbox (6.0.14) installé, le processeur est incompatible avec la virtualisation matérielle

This is not true because in the intel site it is said :

Technologie de virtualisation Intel® (VT-x) ‡ Oui
Technologie de virtualisation Intel® pour les E/S réparties (VT-d) ‡ Oui
Technologie de virtualisation Intel® VT-x avec tables de pagination (Extended Page Tables) ‡ Oui

There is maybe another option to enable or disable in your bios ?

If someone has the answer with these further informations , give us the tip.

I have checked in BIOS and it shows there Virtualization as enabled.
And in Windows itself it shows the same.

Depending on VBox version, this error message is also displayed if windows hypervisor is enabled. If BIOS Settings are ok, make sure that hypervisor is disabled in Windows features.
Two virtualization layers are one too much for vbox…

Virtualization in BIOS needs to be enabled (HW layer)
Virtualization in Windows (Hypervisor) needs to be disabled (OS layer)

Link to issue tracker in vbox: https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/12350

EDIT: Just noticed that you have Hyper V already disabled.

I tried today again after enabling Hyper-V and then disabling it again - but the WUs still error out.
Anyone has an idea what to do?

Bios Settings are fine.

Will the Admin perhaps consider an application without VM?

Ok went through the other thread:

<p_vm_extensions_disabled>0</p_vm_extensions_disabled>
that setting is already in my client state file so I did not need to change that

Hyper V disabled, Virtualization enableded in BIOS

Also I can't get Wu's any longer:

22/07/2020 12:30:48 | QuChemPedIA@home | Not accepting requests from this host

was I banned here from the project because of the WUs which errored?
