Very little CPU usage

I'm a long time boinc user (and team admin) I know that gpus are not the solution for everything. But also know that, when projects can use gpu, they have GREAT benefit. |

Posted 18 Dec 2019 by [VENETO] boboviz Post: One hope, is to get a funding grant or an enthusiastic volunteer. I know you are using NWChem (is open source), but have you modified the code for this project? If yes, please, publish the github link, so maybe volunteers can help you (like, in the past, Tn-Grid, Poem and other projects). |

Posted 10 Dec 2019 by [VENETO] boboviz Post: The progress kept going so I wanted to watch it for observation. Quite frankly one of the reasons I hate virtualbox projects. Now i'm crunching with my 4 cores mobile pc (that is costantly under control) and i'm tented to try this project on my 24 cores Xeon. But this machine is not constantly observed by me, so i'm afraid of wasting time.... |

Posted 9 Dec 2019 by [VENETO] boboviz Post: I've aborted two like this. Despite ~53K seconds of running time, there was only 60 seconds of CPU time on one, 19 seconds on the other. I've got a lot of these. Start very quickly, slow down and after 7hs of run, the cpu is at 0% of use and cpu time (in wu properties) is 18 seconds Mmmm, the app code needs debug? |
