Please look my host 956, i7-2600K-Virtualisation Bios enable-Win7Ult x64.
All the WU ends in error : VM requires acceleration but the config can not support it !!!
Host details "Virtualbox installed.......... but disabled " !!!.
Can someone tell me, where inside Windows7 we can enable/disable virtualization ?

Virtualization is enabled but not available. Intel has included this limitation for the K-series processors to motivate people buy Xeons.

OK so far, but please look host 1764 : it is a virtual machine mounted on host 956, running Linux on one core, 10Gb virtualdisk.
I repeat, on host 956, with the VB given by Boinc
And it works ! Look WU 859617 or 855793 who ran successfully.

On the virtualized guest machine you have virtualized BIOS, not the same as the host machine's BIOS.
So, see the BIOS setting i posted before.
P.S. your computers are hidden

I'm not an admin, only my opinion and experience. This is not a problem with WUs.
All last WU's successfully finished, including long.
Only one difference i can suggest: the Virtualbox version.
I have 5.2.8r121009 with no extension pack. Removed this extension a few days ago.

May it be a solution for the virtualbox app?
The Vbox job description file
...
completion_trigger_file
This provides a more bulletproof way for VM apps to exit; sometimes VMs fail to shut down, and the task hangs indefinitely. When the VM app is done, it writes a file of this name in the shared directory; the file can optionally contain an integer exit code (first line) a bool value for whether it should bubble up to the volunteer (second line) and stderr text (subsequent lines). If vboxwrapper finds this file, it cleans up the VM and exits with the given code (default 0).

Too many such tasks. Stopping this project.
If you wish more donors, make it stable for Windows.

Script, that creates VM with boinc, with boinc manager access, with accoint key given at the command line.
No additional software, virtualbox headless mode. It may be interesting.
But i have no time now to create it.
So, Windows is the best choice. Hope this project's software will be more stable.

I have a 6 core machine with 12 GB memory but avoid "unmanageable" WUs by only crunching two at a time.

Same solution for my pc. 2 cores limitation and problem disappears.
4 physical cores total, 8gb ram.
