i have a Linux Virtual Machine on a Windows 10 host running SuSE Tumbleweed, which is a development version with kernel 5.14.14. But it is updated very frequently and I have to reboot it, so I am not running any project using VirftualBox on it, only Einstein@home.

I am number 30 in the RAC ranking list. Before the 30 September stop due to an expired security certificate I was even better and I am now climbing back again. Thie means my results are good even if my CPU, an Intel i5 9400f is vastly inferior to the majority of Linux hosts.

All my invalids are very short lived tasks and as damotbe said in another post they correspond to bad molecules.

I am using VBox 6.1.28 also on LHC@home tasks such as Atlas@jome, CMS@home and Theory@home with good results.

I simply exit BOINC killing all running tasts then restart the BOINC manager. Mon Francais is not good enough.

Did you install the latest BOINC version, 7.16.20? That fixed my problem an I am getting tasks.

How did you set "Max # CPUs"?
It would be possible for the CPU time to be greater than the run time if it was set to greater than "1".

In the stderr.txt file CPU number is 1.

Four tasks on my Windows 10 PC have the same result in runtime, 3,799.00 s. This time is inferior to their CPU time, which is impossible. The tasks are 2928900, 2920165, 2939127, 2926900...

I had 12 Windows tasks waiting to upload on September 30. None has survived this lockout. Now I am running Linux tasks on an old laptop but 4 out of 5 are in inconclusive validation, not invalid.

As suggested by Dave Anderson I have downloaded the ca-bundle certificate. It says that is is valid until 28 January 2028. I am currently running WorldCommunityGrid, Einstein@home, Rosetta@home and LHC@home on my Wimdows hosts with Window 10 and they run well.

I have tried to connect to all BOINC projects. About 50% of them accept my connection, 50% do not. Since my client is always the same BOINC 7.16.11, the problem is not in the client but on the servers. On a Linux Virtual Machine with SuSE Tumbleweed I have a BOINC 7.18.0 which is a development version. But since it is a Linux host, the problem does not affect it.

Other projects are also affected. I have a huge number of Einstein@home tasks waiting for validation, so many wingmen seem to be missing. On the BOINC home page Dave Anderson writes that also Science United is affected and I saw it declining in the users ranking list. I went from rank 30 to rank 50, since I have now only an old Linux laptop crunching its tasks.

Thanks Conan. The ca-bundle file in my Windows 10 PC with BOINC 7.16.11 claims to be valid until January 28 2028. I have downloaded a ca-bundle file as suggested by the BOINC home page and it claims the same thing. I really do not understand, thanks anyway.
