I sent a private message to raddoc , advising him to downgrade virtualbox to 5.2.xx version , in order to see if a change in the behavior of the work units occurs. But he didn't answer for the moment. |

I am using VBox 6.1.28, with good results. Tullio |

It depends on the hardware , i suppose. I have no good results with my host with 6.xx.xx. virtualbox version. It is curious but this is the truth. This is why i advised him to try this change and downgrade .So , he may see the difference and would probably obtain more good results. It is just a piece of advice , if he wants to earn some credits with this project (gridcoin is his team). |

Apparently , raddoc has tested my advice and we can see a difference in the behavior of the results : 8890967 2952723 11 Nov 2021, 9:51:58 UTC 11 Nov 2021, 14:52:18 UTC Terminé, validation peu concluante 7,270.51 7,192.05 en attente NWChem v0.11 (vbox64_t1) From 6.0.14 ,He downgraded to 5.2.38 and a real change appeared. He has an amd ryzen processor :AMD Ryzen 9 5900HS Mine is an amd a10. So maybe the amd processors are more sensible than the intel processors for this project. |

@damotbe, perhaps post into the News feed ( = create a boinc notice) that Linux users who use a 3rd party boinc-client package are asked to check whether they produce any valid results at QuChemPedIA at all. If not, they should revert to their distribution's stock boinc-client package. Edit: 10053 — Debian 11, BOINC version 7.16.16, anonymous owner 8589 — Windows+vbox, 100% error rate, @raddoc |
